Issues Resolved.... - Development - 10/22/2006 ( Modified: 02/16/2008 ) Its been a bit since the last post, this was mainly due to spending time working on DSW Pro. Well so much time was needed to get my head around the interface issues. Either I am really thick or Apples documentation is pretty sparse in areas. Well I say its Apples fault, thats my story and I am sticking to it! But on a happier note, the gui problems have been resolved and coding continues at a much faster pace now. Since I am no longer frustrated with the whole mess, things are getting done. The condition and action lists have been finalized and most of the interface parts have been finished. The triggers/events are still being looked at, but for the most part the feature set has been finalized for this version. I will be updating the site to reflect the status of DSW Pro and add it to the list of apps. At the same time I will be putting the features and such up for you to see. So stand by a little longer Pro is coming soon(ish)...

Universal - Do Something When - 07/24/2006 ( Modified: 09/11/2007 ) DSW has gone universal, and even fixed a couple of bugs in the process.

Slight Delay - Do Something When - 07/19/2006 ( Modified: 09/11/2007 ) Well no surprise really, DSW has come down with the bugs.... Currently trying to solve the killers like not being able to save an altered rule. Which I feel is a show stopper ;)... So the release of 1.2 is delayed a bit, I hope to have this resolved quickly and get the new universal release out to everyone. The app works on Intel Macs now just need to fix these killer bugs and test it, then off to the press. Ok well not off to the press just the FTP site an out to you. Thanks for your patience and use of DSW!

Universal Beta - Do Something When - 07/06/2006 ( Modified: 02/11/2007 ) Have completed the conversion to universal and now its off to beta testers, to make sure I didn't make a mess of the functionality. Thats the good news and now the not so good news.... Thats all version 1.2 is, no new features. I have been working on the next version and spending too much time getting that working correctly, and the mess I made of my current code it was decided to take the 1.1.1 snap shot and convert it to universal and not try to get the new features for the prefPane version out at this point. It will be in the next version for sure. The DSW page will be updated soon to reflect all this. I hope to release version 1.2 to the general public by the end of next week, which is a couple of days after I get home from work so the date my slip a bit.

Universal Version - Do Something When - 06/04/2006 ( Modified: 10/22/2006 ) With the problems with the new interface plaguing me, I have decided to work on a universal release of what I currently have running, with some small enhancements. This is so that all those people I keep getting emails from requesting a universal version can have a working copy of Do Something When. I am sorry this has taken so long and that the expected 'Pro' version is not going to be ready for this next release, but I felt that it was better to get something for everyone now then waiting for the next major release to come up with a universal build.

Updates - Do Something When - 04/09/2006 ( Modified: 07/24/2006 ) Well progress is slow on the next version of DSW. Wanted to make the new Pro side of things with a really nice custom interface. But it looks like this will not be happening for the next release, well not if I want to get this out to the public anytime soon. Might have to work on the interface for version 2.0. The next version is looking to be version 1.5 (easy number to remember). The next version of DSW will be Tiger only. I hope to make it a universal binary, but since I don't have the resources to purchase another new mac for the near future. So will be doing some beta testing with a friend who has a MacBook Pro to test DSW.

Happenings on the home front - General - 03/13/2006 ( Modified: 07/24/2006 ) Well been busy on the home front buying a new house and so coding has suffered quite a bit. But am still working on the new DSW and have take a few steps in starting a new project currently being called DownMailer. Not going to talk about it to much right now, need to make sure my ideas for it will pan out before going into to much detail. But things are happening here and DSW is still a go for the next version. Just a reminder, DSW Pro will be a pay for app. But the prefPane portion of DSW will always be free and benefit from bug fixes and small improvements.

Tiger or Not Tiger - Do Something When - 12/07/2005 ( Modified: 07/24/2006 ) Well I have been working on the next version of Do Something When and having to make some very hard decisions about what versions of the OS to support. I know the current version supports all the way back to Jaguar (10.2). But the next version is going to include, actually I should say "I want to include", iChat and some CoreImage. I could do with out the CoreImage since that is just interface changes but since I am adding iChat support it won't be any extra to add the CoreImage code. On the other note the next version of DSW will have a expanded version, Pro (the name may change), that will have to be purchased. The price hasn't as yet been decided but it won't be a million dollars or anything near it really. It will be a small fee, something that makes sense for the functionality that DSW provides. Specially the new version with its expanded set of features and actions. As things get a little closer to release time I will update the DSW project page with the feature you should expect to see. For those that don't wish to upgrade to this version the current version will be kept up to date. Bugs will be squash and features will be added. Though you have have to understand they will never match those of the Pro version. But the nice thing about the standard version is that it will remain at the same cost it is now, FREE.

Next Version of DSW (1.2?) - Do Something When - 11/18/2005 ( Modified: 07/06/2006 ) Currently working on the next version of DSW, probably 1.2, and was wondering if any current or future user wants something added? Drop me an email and let me know. I am working on event messages and adding file change watching. Not sure about other features for this version, don't want to overload myself with features and not have everything work. I also don't want to have as long a delay between versions either. So few features and many releases might just work, though no guarantees.

New Update - Do Something When - 11/14/2005 ( Modified: 03/15/2006 ) Just released version 1.1.1 of Do Something When. This includes a very small bug fix to allow the 'Automatically Start on Login' checkbox to work from the default installed location. No other fixes are present in this release. Finally got a chance to work on DSW since my job function at work has changed and I no longer am doing any coding, at least for now. So my spare time is now spare again. So I am hoping to get motivated enough to start adding features to DSW. Let me know your suggestions.

New Site - General - 10/15/2005 ( Modified: 02/11/2007 ) Welcome to the new site for Azarhi Software. It has been time, actually more than time, for a new design. The new design brings the website to the modern age, using CSS and less reliance on tables. Some areas are still being fixed up, but for the most part all the site is working. You might notice changes from time to time, but its to bring the full functionality to the site. Biggest problems right now is the projects area. The individual projects don't have any navigations around their pages. This is next on the development cycle and should be fixed in a few days. Will keep the news up to date on the happenings. Well, enjoy the site.
