Power Passwords is an iPhone/iPod touch application for creating and re-creating passwords anytime you need them. The passwords are created using a Key, and the length of passwords is determined by a slider. Input the same Key and password length and the same passwords will be re-created.

This means those couple of passwords you use over and over again, when you know you shouldn't, can be used as Keys to generate plenty of good passwords you can use for all your accounts. Descriptions reminding you which account you associate with each password are saved in Power Passwords, even though the generated passwords are not.

Power Passwords features:
  -  generate 20 strong passwords for each Key and password length
  -  change the Key or length; different passwords are generated
  -  for security, the passwords are never saved
  -  enter the same Key and password length, the same passwords are recreated
  -  descriptions of where you use passwords can be entered and saved
  -  a "heads up" display for showing each password in large font in any orientation

Version 2 (April 16, 2009) provides the following:
  -  Switch on/off secure input of the Key
  -  Switch on/off alternate set of 10 additional passwords for the same Key, providing a total of 20 passwords for each Key
  -  Erase each input field independently
  -  Minor bug fixes

Version 2.1 (July, 2009) provides the following:
  -  Complete support for cut, copy & paste for those running iPhone OS 3.0 or later
  -  Special one-touch copying of each password

Version 2.2 (October, 2009) provides the following:
  -  Replacement of the "Clear All" button at the bottom with a special Utility button (gear icon)
  -  The Utility button causes a special menu to pop up with these actions:
      *  Copy all passwords and descriptions to the clipboard
      *  Email all passwords and descriptions (unencrypted)
      *  Clear all fields

Version 2.3 (Feb 2, 2010) provides the following:
  -  "Heads up" display for viewing passwords in large font on a gray background. Double-tap a password, and the password fills the screen in any orientation. Single tap the screen to return to the Power Passwords view.

FAQs

   1. Why does the first password not change as much as the other passwords when the Length slider changes?
The behavior of the first password is designed to be consistent with the very first version of "PassGen" written for the Mac in the 90s. If you are interested in the Mac version, check it out at http://www.rhyman.net/downloads

   2. Can I save comments for the same Key but different slider lengths?
Yes! A Key, such as "rover" saved with the slider set to 0 is different than the Key "rover" with a slider length of 7. So, comments saved with "rover" and length 0 are distinct from "rover" and length 7, and the passwords are completely different!

   3. What are the minor bugs fixed in version 2.0?
       a. Under some circumstances, the Delete button was enabled, even when no Key was entered.
       b. After pressing the Clear button, any comments just cleared could reappear when the slider was moved.
       c. When the user changes the Key by even one character, any visible comments should disappear.
